LAN Party - for PC gamers who
take their fun seriously!
The aim of this site is to arrange LAN Parties (also known as 'netmeets') in and around the Buckinghamshire region. This site is really intended for the guys and girls at De Montfort University <waves: hello to the CIS class> who every once in a while put down the books and bring out their joysticks. Having said that, if anyone else out there would like to join in, we would welcome the competition - new blood and all that...
What is a LAN Party?
Put simply its when a group of people mass in a big hall/room, link up their PCs and start playing games!
How long does it go on for?
We try to plan it so they last for at least a weekend, sometimes three or four days - it depends on how long we can book the hall for, term times, etc. Most people stay for the duration whilst others can only make 1 or 2 days.
How many people attend?
We usually get about 10 people with their PCs to come along. This makes roughly 2 teams of 5 people which is a nice number for most games.
