Remember to write down your current settings so that you can revert back to them later. If you need any help the friendly LAN administrators at the LAN Party event can help you with this.
Also note that your LAN card must support a UTP cable with an RJ45 connection (looks like a telephone connection). Lan cards can be 10 or 100 MBs per second.
The specific LAN setup (IP addresses, etc) that you will need will be specified here closer to the next event.
